Koh Surin

Staggeringly shifted and curiously shallow reefs, a palette of amazingly clear turquoise waters and stunning white sands, and thick timberlands of elevated dipterocarps consolidate to make the islands of Mu Ko Surin National Park one of the must-visit destinations in south Thailand. It's particularly an outside affair, with a large portion of the greater part of convenience in national park tents, no business on the island by any means, and twice-every day snorkeling the fundamental movement.

Ko Ra

Hilly, forested Ko Ra (measuring about 10km north to south and 3km across) sits just off Khuraburi pier’s mangrove-lined estuary and is covered with intact rainforest full of towering trees, hornbills and wild, empty beaches. The island is home to some two-dozen Moken and Mai Tai people and just one place to stay, the rather special American-Thai run Ko Ra Ecolodge.

Ko Phayam

The minute kangaroo-formed island of Ko Phayam offers fine white-sand shorelines and coral reefs and is home to around 500 individuals, a large portion of whom either make their living from prawn, squid or crab angling, or from developing cashew nuts, sator beans, coconut palms and elastic trees. In light of its streets, Ko Phayam has a somewhat more created feel than neighboring Ko Chang, underlined by a calm shoreline bar scene – all hand-painted signs and driftwood figures – and the habitations of a critical number of outsiders who burn through six or more months here       consistently.

The other Ko Chang

This is an alternate Ko Chang, not to be mistaken for its much bigger namesake off the east shoreline of Thailand. It's a forested little island around 5km seaward, whose auto free, ultra laid-back, roll-your-own particular vibe more than adjusts for the not as much as flawless shorelines. The pace of life here is moderate and for the generally little number of voyagers who make it to the island the accentuation is unequivocally on kicking back and relaxing – bring your own particular loft and you'll fit right in.

Ko Tao

Ko Tao (Turtle Island) is so named on the grounds that its blueprint looks like a turtle crashing towards Ko Pha Ngan, 40km toward the south. The rough shell of the turtle, toward the east, is crenelated with segregated bays where maybe a couple lodges cover up among the stones. On the western side, the turtle's underbelly is a long bend of great shoreline, Hat Sai Ree, and the 21 squared kilometers of stone in the middle of is topped by thick woods on the higher slants and spotted with enormous rocks that look as though they anticipate some Easter Island artist. There are unpleasant trails inland that are extraordinary for investigating yet Ko Tao is most renowned for its awesome scuba plunging.

Ko Kood

The fourth-larges island in Thailand, forested Ko Kood (some of the time spelt Ko Kut or Ko Kud) is still a wild and to a great extent uncommercialized island. In spite of the fact that it's known for its shimmering white sand and outstandingly clear turquoise water, especially along the west drift, Ko Kood is as much a nature beau's destination as a shoreline bum's. Swathes of shoreline are bordered by clean and mangrove instead of expansive sandy shorelines and those parts of the island not at present secured in virgin tropical rainforest are loaded with palm forests and elastic manors. Ko Kood is a shockingly wonderful spot to investigate by walking (or kayak), particularly as the cool season brings invigorating breezes generally days.

Ko Mak

Small, slow-paced, peaceful Ko Mak makes an idyllically low-key alternative to Ko Chang. Home to little more than 400 people, many of them descended from the islands’ five main clans, Ko Mak measures just 16 square kilometres and is dominated by coconut and rubber plantations. The island is shaped like a star and has fine white-sand beaches where most of the tourist accommodation is concentrated.
